It’s a new year and we are excited to introduce a few new things for 2025! We’ve been listening to your feedback and looking for opportunities to offer new meditation products for 2025 that will enrich your practice.
Each item has been thoughtfully curated, from beautifully crafted statues to innovative cushions.
Here’s a closer look at what’s new this year:
Jizo Statue Collection
Ever since our blog post about the Bodhisattva Jizo went viral, we’ve seen substantial growth in demand for Jizo statues. Well, we’ve heard you loud and clear. We are excited to add these new products to our Jizo collection:
Happy Jizo Statue
Invite the gentle presence of Jizo into your home or meditation space with this charming wooden statue. Known for his role as a protector and guide, Jizo is a beloved figure in Japanese Buddhism, symbolizing compassion and kindness.
This product is made in Japan and stands 4.75″ tall.
Wabi-Sabi Jizo Statue
We have a particular fondness for our rustic Wabi-Sabi Jizos, handmade by Wabi-Sabi Studios on Vashon Island. Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, which celebrates the imperfect, the transient, and the natural, each Jizo has its own unique character with a slightly rough texture that adds to its charm. Stained in earthy green and brown tones, these statues are a perfect companion for both indoor altars and outdoor gardens.
Our Wabi-Sabi Jizos are made locally on Vashon Island, Washington.
We have two variations available:
Large – Standing 9.25″ tall
Small – Standing 4.75″ tall
Daruma Dolls and Bodhidharma
Add a little whimsy to your home with our new Daruma dolls. Traditionally, Daruma dolls are part of New Year’s festivities in Japan. During this time, people will set goals or intentions for the year ahead, painting a black dot in one of the doll’s eyes. When that goal is achieved, the second eye is painted in. Our new meditation products for 2025 include a selection of Daruma dolls.
A Daruma doll represents resilience and perseverance. The famous phrase associated with Daruma is “Nana korobi ya oki” (七転び八起き) “Seven time down, eight times up.” Daruma may be knocked over, but he always comes right back up. Our doll has a weighted bottom, so if you tap it, it will indeed come back to center!
These paper mâché Daruma dolls are available in two sizes:
Large – Standing 5.75″ tall
Small – Standing 3.5″ tall
All of our Darumas are sturdy, beautifully decorated, and made in Japan.
Daruma Doll Gift Set
This Mini Daruma Gift Set includes a cute 2” Daruma doll packaged together with a fine tip fude pen. This gift set makes a lovely Christmas or New Year’s gift.
The fude brush pen is used to dot the Daruma’s eyes when setting a goal or intention. This brush pen combines the control of a fine-tipped marker and the fluidity of a traditional brush, and will elevate your writing and drawing with precision and elegance. Great for calligraphy, sketching, or ink illustration.
Made in Japan.
Bodhidharma Statue
This striking statue honors Bodhidharma, the founder of Zen Buddhism. Known for his intense gaze and unwavering focus, the Bodhidharma Statue is a symbol of discipline and determination. Expertly detailed, this statue captures the strength and dynamism of Bodhidharma, making it an inspiring addition to any home or meditation space.
